How long does Fibre take to install?
The process can take anywhere from 7 to 14 days in an area with existing Fibre infrastructure. Once your installation appointment has been scheduled, your physical installation should take between 2 to 4 hours depending on the complexity of the installation. As part of the fibre installation, an ONT (Otpical Network Terminal) will be installed inside your home. If your home already has an ONT installed, the process would usually take about a week. Link connect will keep you updated as the process moves along.
What is the installation cost?
The first 30 metres of the installation from the boundary box to the house is paid by Link Connect. Additional meterage beyond the 30 metres is for your account.
What do I need to connect to Fibre?
Once the line has been provisioned and the installation is complete, Link Connect will personally deliver and install a free-to-use router in your home. We will set up the router, set passwords and make sure there are no issues on the line.
What is an ONT (Optical Network Terminal)?
An ONT is the little black box on a wall inside your home with 4 green LED lights. If any of the lights are off there is an issue on the fibre line. Please contact us so we can check what the issue might be.
Is 10mbps Fibre good for streaming?
A single user with a couple of devices can stream with a 10mbps line. If there are more than 4 devices online in the home we recommend a minimum 25mbps line.
Is 60Mbps fibre fast?

60Mbps fibre connection is a reliable speed for up to 8 devices, suitable for a family of four. If there are gamers in the home, a faster line will be better.
